I was looking forward to this week's Aussie Curves challenge. Stripes is an easy one for me- the problem was deciding on which outfit to put together. I finally decided on a maxi dress I had picked up from Big W.
I decided on red accessories, including this fab red handbag I picked up from the op shop for $3.
It's super comfy, the straps are wide enough to hide bra straps, and it's just the right length. I still think Big W need to work on their sizing, this dress was snug at a size 26.

I'm wearing my pretty wedge shoes I purchased from Big W. Still practising wearing them around the house.
Jewelry was picked up from markets and gifted from friends.

ReplyDeleteCan't believe you took the time to comment while on your honeymoon- you rock! Hope you find a great dress. :-)
DeleteThere is no way that dress is a 26! I would have no hope fitting into it.
ReplyDeleteThe cut of the maxi dress looks beautiful on you. Love the pops of red!
Thanks. Yeah the Big W sizing is so annoying, they finally have some great fashion, but make it too small- so stupid!
Deletecute! You look ready to stroll the markets and enjoy some of this gorgeous weather :)
ReplyDeleteI love markets! Need to do it without kids though. ;-)
DeleteThat dress is so lovely! It makes you so shapely!! Wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you. :-)
DeleteThis makes me want to buy a maxi! And I'm totally digging the owl necklace! x
ReplyDeleteThanks- I'm really coming round to maxis. My owl necklace is one of my fav accessories, goes with so much of my stuff!
Delete... love how brave you are with stripes! You look gorgeous ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you. :-)
DeleteIt looks GREAT! Love it. What a fun dress. And I know what you mean about BigW sizing. I bought three items there the other week in all different sizes from an 18 to a 26. WAY off dudes, way off.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yeah the Big W sizing is so annoying!
DeleteThese stripes look amazing on you!!! It's the perfect style stripe! I agree on BigW sizing tho!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :-)
DeleteI haven't been into BIG W for a while....but I need to get back in there
ReplyDeleteYou should- Big W have definitely raised their game in the plus size section. If only Kmart and Target would follow their example.
Deletecute dress. i have picked up a few gems from Big W lately and can't wait for the new one near me to open soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm a frequent visitor there- I need to stop visiting until I have more cash. ;-)
DeleteI agree with you on BigW sizing. But love the dress on you. Looks fun
ReplyDeleteThanks, it's so comfy.
Deleteloving that maxi on you! you look great :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you. :-)
DeleteThis dress looks great on you. I love the way it pulls in a bit under the bust. The red accessories are also cool, especially that rockin' owl necklace. Big W's sizes give me the S@#TS!!! I recently got a dress that fit perfectly, however their jeans in the same size don't come close. Bah! to them!

I love red accessories, my owl necklace gets worn often it was a good buy. Oh I hear you with the sizing, so frustrating! Especially when Big W are actually providing some colourful fun options for the plus sizes.
DeleteThanks! You can't go wrong with red as an accent colour. :-)
ReplyDeleteYep sizing always seems to be off at BigW but then again it's not about the label, you're working that dress. I can't believe you got that bag for $3, insane!
ReplyDeleteLove the colour combo going on here. Supercute xxx
ReplyDeleteThe semi-nautical feel and the irregularity of the stripes of that dress is all kinds of awesome!
ReplyDeleteSaw these pictures of you in that pretty dress and had an orgasm
